Question about OKW

We have always stayed in other buildings and when I have read about others complaining of bus noise, I just didn't get it....until our little get-a-way romantic weekend with just the 2 of us:lmao: It's hard to get romantic when there is a constant grinding of gears right out your window....hee hee hee.

Chuck: you are right, we have heard the golf balls hit the unit, it scared the pants off us once. Thought the window broke. We were there for Huricane Wilma and didn't hear a peep...but one ball made us all jump.

One might be able to draw the conclusion from what was alluded to in the first paragraph than the golf balls may have not been the actual cause of the removal of the pants as stated in the second paragraph. :rolleyes1

Remember , this is a "family-friendly" board. ;)

I guess I am one of the poor schmucks who wanted to be near HH but was unable to secure that category since our stay at the end of Nov/beg of Dec was smack dab in building 28 ;)

Thankfully we all loved it and were not at all bothered by the bus noise. We even stayed in one morning when they had the equipment going for trimming the shrubbery and we didn't care at all. I guess we had the rose colored Disney goggles on but seriously the resort was impressive and if I can get bldg 28 again next year, I will be fine with that. OKW has so much to offer.

Frankly, 28 is a LOT better than 29. Building 29 studio could be right on the road, and that would be bad. At least in 28, you don't have that issue. If you liked 28, you will die from the extacy of buildings 45 and 46!:thumbsup2

Not exactly. There are corner intererior studios in the "U" shaped buildings. 14, 18, 35 and 38. There are two adjacent (not connecting) studios in the corners of the U. So while the studios are on the ends of each wing of the buildings, there are some studio next door to each other.

I stayed in studio 1432 that is not an outside unit. Only difference is that there are no windows to the exterior on the wall as you walk in. There is a large mirror on the wall in place of the windows. No other changes in floor plan.
I did'nt like it as well, but I was happy to be close to the HH.

OP, to answer your question about parking at the HH, depending on the time of day, it fills up really fast. The walk really isn't too far, and you can amuse most kids by pointing out all the little animals along the way. Our daughters love seeing rabbits, ducks, little lizards etc.

Or you can just hop on a bus that takes you to HH if you aren't up for the walk. We love the walk to HH (and the walk to DTD) but sometimes you just want to get there quickly.
