Question about OKW Grand Villa

Hello fellow DVC members!! I have a GV for August for my whole family and have some questions that I am sure can be answered here! Does each bedroom in the GV have it's own safe? My DH and I wanted to use our room keys at a credit card too, but can the other two families put their credit card on their keys or is it one credit card per villa? Thanks everyone in advance.

I must admit I've never looked in the bedrooms beyond the master for a safe! I do know that both the master and lock off studios have them in the closets, so I suppose they also do in each bedroom of the GV. I'd have to ask some of the folks who were our guests to answer that one!

I was really counting on you. I figured you'd be the first to respond, but I also was hoping that you knew the answers to my questions. So what about the credit cards though??

I don't believe the front desk will allow more than 1 credit card per villa. It is really no big deal for them to just carry a credit card to the parks though. Even when it's just us, I usually have my key plus a credit card, because the key is usually on DH's card, and I like to put my own things on my own card. I put the key and the credit card in my AP sleeve and it stays in my back pocket so I have all three in the same place.

Only one credit card per reservation (no matter the size of the accomodations). Depending on how well you know/trust the other parties, why not have everybody charge to the room during the stay, then the night before you leave go to the front desk and get a print-out of your charges. You can identify the responsible party by the card number and calculate how much everybody owes. Then have $X charged to your card, $Y charged to the other card, etc. Of course you'll have to have the other cardholders with you. The other method is just to put it all on your card (and get any bonus points your card may give you) and then have the other parties pay you back.

What do you know about the safes in the room? Is there one total, one in each bedroom, etc?

I'd be pretty certain they DO have safes in every bedroom, since they do in the second bedroom. If you want to know for sure, you might try calling the resort directly. I called one of our guests, but they said it never occured to them to use one, so they didn't look for it.

We stayed in an OKW GV this past December...it is GREAT BTW...anyway, I just asked my daughter and she said that neither bedroom upstairs had a safe. Now that I think of it, she had to put her money in the safe in our room.

My DH called OKW on Monday for some clarification about how many safes and where it (or they) are located. According to the CM we spoke to there is only one safe and it's located in the entrance hallway in the closet, not in the master bedroom. It sounds as if there is some discrepancy here between the CM and the DVC members who have stayed in a GV at OKW
