Question about offers...

I see the "public" offers for traveling to WDW but I hear about PIN codes etc. How does one get these magical offers? I have an account with the disney store, but I didn't see anywhere on the Disney website where you'd sign up/access something like this... Thanks!

Hi Heather! I think they send them out randomly. While I was planning for our first trip, I looked high and low for a PIN code, but they're apparently unique and tied to your name. I ordered their trip planning DVD and soon received our very first PIN offer in the mail, which was for a 15% off room discount. I didn't use it since their Spring offer was higher at 25% off rooms.

I've read somewhere that you can call Disney reservations and ask if there's a PIN code under your name. Good luck!

Sign up at the Disney website to receive offers.

Order the planning DVD and the customized maps.

Periodically go into the website and play around with a couple of different vacations.

Seems like not too long after that, I receive some type of pin code.

Some things you should know; pin codes are non-transferable, so someone else cannot receive a code and give it to you to use, unless they are also going. You can book up to three rooms on one pin code as long as they are the same time and at the same resort.

Pin codes are very random and not necessarily for the time period you may be looking for. Sometimes the public offers are better.

It appears as though the last few I have gotten have eventually become public offers.

Once I booked an ADR for 'Ohana through the online system and provided my email address, I started getting emails w/PIN codes. DH was getting them prior to that since he's the one who books the trips and all of his info was already in the system.

I've received them two years in a row. Last year was my first year and it was shortly after signing up at their website. We stayed last September using a 40% pin code. Then we received one for this fall for 30% - which we're not going to use. Waiting until next year.
