Question about non-Disney cruises

I've been shopping around for a specific cruise for next May. Would DISavers handle non-Disney cruises? How much is the typical commission for cruises? Specifically, a Carnival cruise?

The quotes I got from various cruise agencies, including internet agencies, varied by several hundreds of dollars. Would I be able to get a quote before joining DISavers so that I know if the total amount plus the fees minus the rebate would beat the lowest quote I got? I obtained an on-line quote from Dreams to try to estimate and it was definitely more than the lowest quote I got.

Also, if I was booking 2 cabins - one for me and one for my parents - would I require two memberships?

Hi SleepyatDVC

Yes, non-Disney cruises would be eligible for the rebate under the DisSavers program as long as it is a cruise line that Dreams Unlimited Travel currently books.

Cruise commissions range anywhere from 5 - 10% depending upon the cruise line and other factors.

What you can do is check out pricing and availability on several different cruise options by using our online system located here http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/dcruise/reservations1.html

You can play with as many cruise options as you like right online and there is no obligation on your part what-so-ever. Then once you feel you've found the cruise you like at the best price, write to dreamscruise@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and see what part would be rebated back to you as commission. From there you can decide if DisSavers would be the way to go for you.

Thanks
John
