well, Newcastle has lots of postcodes but that certainly looks sort of like a Newcastle postcode.

What is the rest of the address?

NE3 would be central Newcastle but we think it has to end in a letter, so it should be NE3 5PZ where Z is a letter - but to be honest, I;m not exactly sure of the postcode rules.

if you know the rest of the address, then I think you can get the correct postcode from www.royalmail.co.uk

Von, it might help you to know that UK Postcodes follow the format of ...

1 or 2 letters followed by 1 or 2 numbers then a space , then 1 or 2 numbers ending with 1 or 2 letters.

So it would seem it's the 6 at the end of yer postcode that's wrong. Using the link Bev kindly offered, I input G instead of the 6 but that comes back as no code known.

You can try all variations in 'find address' - NE3 5Pa, then NE3 5Pb etc till yer find the one yer want, or can use 'find postcode' instead and input the first line of the address and the town and it'll give you the correct postcode.

NE3 is North Gosforth, I live in the NE7 area of Newcastle so it is not that far from me.

If you use the website that Bev has provided, click on the address finder button at the top of the page. Replace the 6 with any letter and you should get the correct address with the postcode eventually!!
