Question about new tickets....

I know about a thousand questions have been asked about these new tickets but one more won't hurt, right?

If you don't get the park hopper option, is this hypothetical situation possible? Say I go to the Magic Kingdom in the morning, go back to my hotel around lunch, then go back to the Magic Kingdom for dinner. Does this count as park hopping even though I'm going back to the same park, or are you not allowed to leave a park once you are in?

That's not considered park hopping. Upon leaving the park, be sure to have your hand stamped and you may return later in the day with that handstamp and your ticket!

I have always gotten my hand stamped but when I came back on the same day I just put my ticket through with no problem. The knuckle reader is only for APs.
