question about new printer!!!!

I had to go buy a new printer because in less than a 14 hour span mice built a nest in my printer!!!! They also nibbled on the
printer parts that made it useless!!!! So,I have my new printer ready to install. My question is do I need to uninstall the old printer software before installing the new info? I know this is probably a dumb question to anyone in the know,but for me ,I haven't got a clue !!

if you removed the old software..even if you replaced the old printer with the same make..there could still have been updates and upgrades in the software that might conflict with the old software..considering how easy it is to uninstall software..that would be my choice!..good luck with the new printer..and the mice!..lol!

You can have two printers installed on one computer, and then just tell your computer which printer to use. But you of course have to install the new printer software.

However, since you will obviously never use your old printer again, it won't hurt (and might help) to uninstall the old software.
