My little Bandit is just about the age where we should get him neutered. We need to put him in the kennel for our trip to WDW (in just 36 days! :cool1: ) Is it a good idea to try and schedule it for when he's in the kennel? Or should we do it a week or two before?

Oh, and we'll be microchipping him then too.

My puppy was neutered and came home the same day fine.

With that said, I would probably not neuter him and kennel him. I would hate for him to link the two together.

Have a great trip!

I've spayed and boarded my cats at the same time twice now. It worked best for me - they were boarded in the surgical care area instead of the regular boarding kennel and they were monitored very closely. I liked knowing they would have better care and pain management should a problem arise, and that they were mostly healed when I came home.

I would do it ahead of time. It may be confusing for him to be in the kennel and away from you and to add the neutering seems a bit much for one day.
