question about mystic dunes check in

We are staying at Mystic Dunes in November. We were thinking of changing to a later flight which would put us in at 5:30 and at Mystic Dunes hopefully by 7. I'm wondering if anyone knows how their check-in works. How late do they do they staff the check-in and what is their late check in like? If you check in after the regular staff is gone, I'm guessing your just out of luck if something is wrong with the room --- and that would be a bad start to a vacation!

I would suggest calling to ask, but I remember we arrived one year about 10P and it was the fastest check-in ever. Usually they try to pair you up with someone to take you to your unit. It's really a guise to try to sign you up for a meeting to try to sell you a timeshare.

We're owners there, but we bought resale. Never buy from the developer.

I think it would be unlikely that there would be anything so drastically wrong with the room that you couldn't bear it for one night. I don't think I've ever had a maintenance issue there at all. Can't say the same for other resorts I've stayed in.

Thanks for the reply. I did call and they assured me that they had someone all night for check in -- even after midnight. But I read a few bad reviews on tripadvisor about people who had to do a late night check-in there, had a problem with their room and then had nobody to help, and then were charged a cleaning fee the next day when they switched to a new room.I was just wondering other's experiences.

We stayed there last year, and had no problems... loved it enough to go back this year.

One of these days I;m going to learn to stop reading tripadvisor! Seems like there is always someone with something bad to say!

As an owner, do you have a recommendation on what building to request?
