Not sure where to ask this but here goes...

if there are four of us and we are all listed on the app. My question is, do we all have to log in using same email and password or can we each go in and set up our own?

I assume you mean that one of you has an account and the other three are listed as Friends and Family. My personal opinion is that this is the easiest way to do things, just have everyone log into the same account. If each person sets up an individual account, they will need to then link their new account with the original one, and it can lead to complications in trying to avoid duplicates, especially if you already have tickets, ADRs, resort reservations and other plans linked to everyone. AFAIK, there no way to have separate logins to a single MDE account. But I’m looking forward to reading other responses here from more knowledgeable people than myself!

Will you all want to plan and travel together at all times? If so, sometimes it's easiest to just stay under one account, as Carolyn wrote above. You can share the sign-in credentials and have multiple people signed in at the same time. The only time this might be an issue is trying to get a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance. I have read that you do not want multiple people trying from the same account for that. Different accounts it's fine.

If people in the group want to tour or visit more independently, they can definitely create their own accounts. But if you do that, I highly recommend calling Disney IT (407-939-4357), to help merge the profiles between the existing and new accounts, to avoid the glitchiness that having two profiles can cause.

My husband and I both have our own accounts because we're both control freaks, but our children are on my account as the odds of them and I going without him are probably higher than him going without me.
Also we need separate log ins for ESPN Fantasy sports....so why not have everything separated

Yes, my husband and I have our own accounts too - but mostly because when MDE was launched, that seemed the way it was supposed to be. My advice to the OP was based on the fact that their party of 4 is already set up as the owner of the account plus 3 F&F members managed by that owner, and if the 3 others make their own accounts now they'll probably need to call IT to prevent creating duplicates of each person and mistakes in linked tickets, reservations, etc. It would be as if each one of your children created their own account now and you had to connect them so that MDE would know they were the same people you already have included. If they had all created individual accounts to start with, and then linked them as F&F of each other, it wouldn't be a problem. Having separate logins for ESPN Fantasy sports is a different issue, and it makes sense to have individual accounts for that.

It's more that because we had pre-existing separate "Disney" accounts having separate MDEs made sense. And it's really easy for someone to have a "disney" account and not realize it when they go to create a MDE profile.

I concur...we have one family account. For the most part...only 1 person needs access, but if the kids want to see photos or what the next FP+ is (when doing FP+) they can just log in and look. They know not to change anything.
