Question about multiple reservations

Not sure if this is the right forum. Is it possible to have a reservation booked at a Disney World resort along with a linked reservation at a partnered hotel (Springs/Waldorf/Hilton Bonnet) for the same dates? I have some family members that want to stay onsite but others that prefer offsite. Do I need to make sure they are under different names?

It shouldn't be a problem at all. I currently have two reservations for the same dates, both in Disney resorts, both under the same name. (FYI, will be canceling one as soon as I get details from one member of my traveling party, so they both won't be tied up for more than a couple of days.) But, if you can have duplicate dates for Disney resorts, it shouldn't be an issue to have them with one being a partner hotel.
