Question about MK

Oh its probably been about 15 years since I was last at Disney World and I am finally taking my husband this coming April. I am wondering if I imagined this or not... I swear that we rode a boat/ferry to MK from the parking lots. Is this accurate or did I dream this up?

I know that we stayed off property and had a rental car so we would have parked in the regular parking but I swear I remember taking a boat across (7-seas lagoon)? to the entrance to the park.

Can anyone confirm this is still the case? I want to make a great trip for DH and so were purposely eating at Ohana's for the food and the to take a monorail ride but if I can sneak in that ferry ride that would be great too.

When you drive to MK, you take a tram from the parking lot to the Transportation Center. From there, you can either take the monorail to MK or a ferry. So you didn't dream it, there are 2 options. You could take one to, and one back at night.
