I was looking in the passporters book and I have a question about min. food & beverage expenditures. We have a 2:30pm wedding booked which puts us in the dinner category for $175 per person. I get that....but in the "Venue Specific" Food & beverage Section, it states the following:

"Example, for a reception at Epcot Living Seas Salon after 4pm in 2014,their is an overall food and beverage minimum expenditure of $4,500(I get that too) for just the reception food and beverage, as well as Disney's food and beverage minimum expenditure of $175/adult for the entire wedding day."

My question is...say I have 20 people for arguments sake...$175x20= $3,500(not including service fees/tax etc.) As long as I spend an additional $1,000 on food and beverage during the reception I will be ok with booking the seas salon, correct? I wouldn't have to spend $3,500 + $4,500 right?:confused3

Right — the two minimums overlap. And, really, with Disney's new pricing structure for Wishes, I'm not sure why they even have venue-specific food and beverage minimums anymore, since you are forced to do all your food and beverage at the reception location anyway in order to meet your overall DFTW minimums.
