Question About Military Ticket Discount and GAD Tickets

I noticed last night that there is a military discount on the FL. resident seasonal passes. Can these discounted FL res. passes only be purchased at Shades of Green? Also, can we use our GAD one day tickets to upgrade to this reduced price military discount FL. resident pass? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, you should be able to use the GAD to upgrade. We are upgrading to the Florida Dream tix.

ETA: Sorry, I meant the regular military tix that disney sells for $99

I don't think you'll be able to upgrade the GAD tickets to any tickets purchased at SoG. SoG is a ticket seller, but they can't upgrade tickets in any way. You'll either have to use the GAD tickets to upgrade to regularly-priced seasonal passes at the WDW ticket gate, or skip the GAD tickets and just get the discounted seasonal passes.

The discounted Florida resident seasonal passes can be purchased on military bases in Florida, through ITT or MWR. I got ours there several years ago at a good discount. The office might have to order them, but they can get them. If you get them on base or at SoG you will not pay sales tax, but you will if you get the tickets at the Disney ticket window.

When you say discounted to you mean in that you don't have to pay tax on it, or is there another discount?

We are military and FL residents so just want to make sure I didn't miss something.

According to the ticket price comparison chart on allears, military can purchase a FL resident seasonal pass for $244 (adult) and $216 (child) instead of the regular $265.19 and $234.30.
