My dh has been laid off for about 4 months now, and he signed up for the "No Worker Left Behind" program.

Anyone from Michigan know about this program and can answer some questions? Does the state provide full tuition for retraining, or just partial? Also, how long from going to the 1st meeting, to getting into school does the process take? TIA!

My DH is going thru the steps now. He was laid off for the 1st time back in January & was called back only to be let go in May. He went last week for the orientation & GED type testing. Today he has to go thru some career counseling thing & after he completes that he has another counseling thing. After that we has to wait 4-6 weeks to see if he will qualify. He went and met with a rep from Davenport & they offer a 20% discount on tuition for the NWLB program. The program is up to $5000 per year for 2 years towards tuition. Good luck! :goodvibes
