Question about MDE with two trips booked

We currently have two WDW trips booked, our original June trip for this year, and a backup trip at the end of August in case June is a no-go (hopefully we actually get to take one of these trips!). I have never had two trips booked at the same time so I'm curious about how it looks in MDE. In my plans the checklist that goes across the top showing Resort Hotel, Tickets, Dining, FP+ is all highlighted blue because everything has now been booked for the June trip. I can see the dining reservations and hotel for the August trip, but no countdown (or date) that shows when FP+ booking is for the August trip. I calculated my FP+ date for that trip on my own so I know when it is, but it doesn't show that anywhere in MDE. Will it show up after the dates of the first trip pass, or should I be able to see it now?

I also didn't see anywhere to get Magicbands for the second trip (which we probably don't need because we already have them for the first trip, but I found that curious), I'm assuming that might be because Magicband sales are on hold while the parks are closed?

Lastly, I'm trying to figure out how to get my SIL included in the plans for the second trip. She is included in everything for the original trip, but I can't get her added for the backup trip. I have her selected as someone who can "see all my plans," but don't know what else I need to do. I know I can call for help, but I figure they are so busy right now it'd be better to ask anyone here if they can help. Thanks!

First off, there most likely isn't anything you need to do at all.

What you see in MDE is NOT trip-centric. Everything is attached to your MDE account only. Resort reservations, tickets, ADRs, FPs, people, etc. are all independent items that are collected in your MDE account. Yes, there are some prerequisites and relationships for some things; you can't make FPs unless you have valid park tickets for that day, and your check-in date drives when your ADR and FP windows open. BUT those things are not actually linked to each other - they are only linked to your MDE account. The rest is program logic that takes place under the covers.

So.

MDE only shows the countdown info for the next reservation. It'll show up for the second trip once the first one has started.

Magic Bands are currently not being shipped, and the option to choose bands has been removed. That said, I have two reservations showing in MDE and for each one it lets me go to the page where I would normally be able to order bands - I can see who I can choose bands for, but I can't go any further.

As for you SIL, if she's already connected for your original trip, then you don't have to do anything else. Friends and Family connections, like everything else, are connected to your MDE account, not to a particular trip. Those connections will remain forever unless you have Disney IT remove them. You can turn off the sharing of information yourself, but she will remain in your list. If you make an ADR right now, your SIL should show up in the list of potential guests on that reservation.

Hope this helps.
