I am planning for 11 people (3 families):
- 6 Armed Forces Salute 5-day tickets for my family and in-laws
- 5 Florida 4-day passes for my brother-in-law's family

We are going to use all 5 days of our Armed Forces Salute during our August trip, but the Florida crew is only coming for 2 days.

We're up for FP+ bookings in about 3 weeks, and I have an email with all the tickets scanned from Shades of Green.

Do I link all 11 tickets into my MDE account to book FP+, or should I have my brother-in-law make his own MDE account and put their 5 tickets there, since they will have 2 days left for future use? I'm tying to avoid future complications for them, but I will also be booking all the FP's, and I want them to be able to make their own changes when we get there.

If you are the one making all the plans, then I would suggest putting them all on your account. They can always make adjustments later if they choose, but the only way you will have times together is if everyone is in one account.

IMHO, each family unit should have their own MDE account. In order to make any plans together or be listed on the same resort reservation, you will need to link the MDE accounts together. It's best to have all of the MDE accounts created and linked to the other families prior to making any plans (room, ADRs, etc.).

Step 1: One adult from each family creates an MDE account and then adds their immediate family (spouse/partner and any children) as managed profiles.

Step 2: This step should be done one family at a time. Family A should add profiles for the other adults (B, C, etc.) that created MDE accounts and enter the email address they used to connect with them. Those adults need to log on to MDE and accept the invite. Linking is a two way street, so if A invites B, A will be added to B's Family & Friends list once the invite is accepted. The next family (B) should then an entry for the primary adults not yet in their Family & Friends list and enter their email address to connect. Repeat this until all primary MDE account see all of the other primary MDE accounts.

Step 3: Connect with managed profiles from the other MDE accounts. When you select 'Add a Guest' on the MDE website, the default option is to display a list of people you may know. This will include profiles managed by your connected friends. Simply select each profile you want to connect with and click 'Done'. An invite will be sent to the primary profile that manages the individual to approve the request.

Once everyone is linked, anyone can make plans those listed in their Family & Friends list. Separate MDE accounts by family also allows that family to make their own plans for any future trips.

Thank you, both! I'll put my family + in-laws (who won't do any of this online) to my account, and have my brother-in-law make an account for his family. Then we'll link, but that will give his family control over their future trip.
