Question about MCO hotels

Hello all. Our flight into MCO is scheduled to arrive late at night. We're looking for a relatively inexpensive hotel for a one night stay on our first night that is close to MCO and includes a free shuttle from/to the airport. It will be myself and my sons... ages 14 and 17. I'm looking to spend less than $150 total (w/tax). La Quinta and the Clarion meet these requirements, however, some of the Tripadvisor reviews sound slightly scary. Has anyone had any experiences at either of these hotels? Are there any other MCO hotel options that anyone can recommend based on the aforementioned criteria?

My family has stayed at the Residence Inn Orlando Airport twice. It meets your requirements and has full breakfast buffet as well. If we need a place to stay for one night, we stay there.

Check the Hilton site. You usually can't go wrong with a Hilton and it looks like most of them have a shuttle.

Make sure you're looking at the right La Quinta. There are two by the airport. The one with "North" in the title (7160 N Frontage Rd) gets markedly better reviews than the one with "West" in the title (7931 Daetwyler Dr).

If it matters to you, the collection of hotels off of South Semoran Blvd (where the La Quinta Inn and Suites North is located) has a bunch of chain restaurants available within walking distance. You'll find places like Carabbas's Italian Grill, TGI Fridays, and Sonny's BBQ.

The hotels along McCoy Road (where the La Quinta Inn West) have far less to offer when it comes to food within walking distance. The best restaurant in that area is McDonalds./

Try The Sleep Inn on 1700 McCoy Road about 3 miles on North Exit

It has a Shuttle from airport .. Has a pool & Hot breakfast ........ Good Price

We stayed there 3 weeks ago. Would stay there again

Definitely check the Hilton web site. (I just type MCO for the location). If the embassy suites is available at a decent price, it's a great place to stay for a night. Big suite room, full breakfast buffet, and shuttle takes less than 5 minutes.
