and using the morning EMH for AK. I asked this on the "Theme Parks, Attractions and Strategies" board also, but was wondering if someone here had any suggestions too (although I'm sure there are lots of people both here and there lol).

Basically, we have an ADR at 10:35 AM for the Ohana character breakfast at the Poly. The only day during our stay that AK has a morning EMH is that day. If we go to the morning EMH at AK, and only ride the Safari, should we still be able to use Disney transportation and make it over to the Poly in time for our ADR? I was wanting to do this because some have mentioned that the best time to ride the Safari is first thing in the morning because all the animals are waking up and eating, etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

IMO I wouldn't knock myself out trying to get over to AK for EMH if I was only doing the safari. I've gone at regular park opening 9am and the animals were PLENTY active, crazy active, having fights in the middle of the road active. So if you can fit in an AM visit on another day, I'd take the morning and relax before your breakfast at Ohana, just seems like a whole lot of running around to me.

Enjoy your trip :hippie:

I agree, I wouldn't stress over trying to get to AK EMH and then over to the Poly.

should be able to, but you have to be realistic once you get to the Safari. The safari should last only 20-25 minutes once you're on. We did the AM EMh a couple of years ago and the crowd seemed to split mostly towards Expedition Everest and the rest to the safari.

You should allow 50 minutes or so once you're in the bus loop. One good thing is that you have a couple of options that should reduce your bus wait. You can choose the T&TC bus, which is what Disney recommends, and take the monorail or take the MK hoe bus which usually goes to the Contemporary first.

It will be tight though.

I think you will make it fine. If you get to AK early enough that you are at the front of the EMH lines, then go straight to the safari, you should done well before nine. I would be waiting for a bus to the Poly no later than 9:30.

However, if you have another AK day planned (and I hope you do - there is a lot more than the safari that is worth doing) I agree that arriving at rope drop would work just as well

Thank you all very much for your responses! I will take everything into consideration, although the decision may be made by my DH, and whether I can get him up to get him to AK or not :rotfl:.
