This is my first time (as an adult) to go to DW and I was planning on calling for ADRs tomorrow. Are the fireworks at a set time year round? I was thinking of doing a number of things- a) do a late dinner at Epcot (R&C) after the fireworks b) be done w/ dinner in time for fireworks, or c) make reservations for during the fireworks and watch them from the patio. But then that (c) option leads me to the question, can I reserve a patio table or is it just luck if one is available? :confused3

Similar thing goes for Mama Melrose, how do we know the timing of fantasmic shows in order to schedule dinner? (other than the fantasmic dinner packages.)

Anyone have any guidance? I realize these may be kinda dumb questions... but I just have no clue!

Thanks so much!!! :)

I've been on the phone with them all day, on and off!!
for the 7 days after christmas, the fireworks were at 9:00
and the other show, (mama melroses) was scheduled for two shows, can't remember the times one was really early, 5 or 6 something, the other about 8:30 she was trying to seat us for dinner at 3:55!!!
said no thanks and decided to skip that one. did get most everything else i wanted, cali grill for fireworks, le cellier, and whatever else, i'm getting burned out!!!!

If you call Disney Dining, they will be able to tell you. That's what I have done for many times of making ADR's. Also, fantasmic is always at 9, unless it is summer, then it is always at 10:30 too. The rest of everything can be said when you make ressie

Ok great! thank you! I'm glad I'm not expected to know these things when calling!!! :thumbsup2

West Texas- whew! glad you got mostly what you wanted!

Information about parks, show and fireworks times can be found on the Disney website or here:

I don't think Fantasmic is always at 9:00. :confused3

For my upcoming December trip, DHS closes at 8:00 many nights. Depending on the day, Fantasmic is either at 7:00 or at both 6:30 and 8:00. Illuminations is at 9:30 for every night of my stay.

Check the calendars for your particular dates to be sure.

I have been at R&C for Illuminations. It is a GREAT place to see the fireworks. I *think* you can walk out to the patio even if you don't have a table out there. The night we were there, one of the CMs let my daughter "start" the fireworks. We actually had a table inside, but were escorted outside for the little ceremony. They gave her this rainbow wand thing and had her wave it around and then *BOOM* the fireworks started. That was BIG for her. Highlight of the trip!

I made an ADR at R&C for 7:10- will that be too early for Illuminations? I've read you need to get there early to get a seat outside, but is almost 2 hours too much?

Yes, 2 hours would be a real stretch. We ate table service all week last week and just about every meal took an hour ... and we were being very leisutely about it ... we enjoyed sitting in air conditioning for awhile!
