I posted this in another thread, but I think more people look here. I want to create a trip report with pictures, but I'm struggling to figure out how to actually get the pictures where I want them to go. The pictures are saved to my computer and I don't have them anywhere where I can get a link for them, does this make it impossible to post pictures? I am able to get them into the thumbnail form, will they stay that tiny if I drag them into place? I want to make my trip report entertaining to read and I feel like having pictures is a must. Please help! :)

In order to post photos directly here they must be no larger than 1MB. Once you've resized your photos, you can either drag & drop, or copy & paste a photo directly into your post. You can also use the "Upload a File" button on the lower right of the posting window.

Alternatively, you can use a photo hosting site, copy the IMG code from there and then paste that into the thread.

Is 500 KB bigger or smaller than 1 MB? I'm sorry I'm not very computer savvy. Thank you for your help!

When I click the preview button it says "view attachment" where my picture should be. So when I post it that means my picture won't be there right? The size of the pictures are all small so I'm not sure why it wouldn't show up. Where I'm typing the trip report the picture is there.

When you put the photo in post, it should show in the post. If you've already written and posted the post, and are using the "edit" option to add the photos, you can't drag & drop or copy & paste. You must use first click "More options" and then the "upload a file" button on the lower middle of the window.

When you drag & drop, copy & paste, or use the upload a file option, you'll get a little thumbnail under your post

Click on "Full Image" for the picture to be large. Click on "Thumbnail" and the picture will be a little one. If you don't click on either I believe the "view attachment" option is what shows up.

yay my picture showed up. Ok I'll try and write up my report I hope it works lol
