Question about making a future reservation at the Contemporary.

Right now, we are planning a 2009 Jan or Feb. trip. When the for sure 2009 rates are released and we are ready to book can we book like a week stay and then change it to a 3 night stay later? We'll probably want to attend the P&PP our first night so we'd like that flexibility. Can people do that or can they only change the beginning or ending date of there stay or something? Because the P&PP aren't released until November right? We are worried they would be all booked up by then.

Yes, you can. I would book NOW, especially if you want a Tower MK view room as they can book up almost a year in advance.

We booked the contemporary last month for May 2009. I would suggest booking it now because im sure the cheaper rooms will go first. Im pretty sure you can change the amount of time. We too booked for 5 nights but Im pretty sure we may be only staying for 4. As soon as we figure everything out for sure then i will call and take off the last day from our reservation. Better to book the extra day or two just in case you decide you want to stay longer and this way you wont have to worry about adding on a day later if you decide to and to be disappointed that you cant do that due to unavailability.

Oh, man, you all are scaring me. I was hoping to wait to book until at least after the May 08 trip. We just don't have the money right now to have two reservations going.

Besides the Magic Kingdom view rooms, Bay Lake view rooms and South Garden Wing rooms getting reserved months in advance, another reason to make a reservation now if you some how can is because of the convention guests who always stay there. They get blocks of rooms no matter the location months in advance which could be another reason why the Contemporary is always be sold out. Their rooms only become available when guests decide that they are not going to show up, so those rooms go back into the CRO computers.
