Question about Magic Bands

Will be at Disney in October and I am getting ready to order Halloween skins from the Internet. It has been 2 years since we visited and I think the Magic Bands may have changed? Anyway the site asks if I want Magic band 2, so I am assuming the bands that they send to us in September will be a little different than the one I got 2 years ago?

The bands you get sent in September will be Magic Band 2 the ones you got 2 years ago are Magic Band 1. They are a little different and MB2 has a removable puck in the center.

Only in shape and physical design. Otherwise they work the same as older-style bands.

In fact I just used my old-style MBs on our most recent visit a few weeks ago to Typhoon Lagoon and Disneyquest and they worked fine. It is just the design that changed.
