I booked the Swan through the Marriott site. I was able to put in my confirmation number into MDE and it found my reservation without a problem.

I bought tickets through WDW. We have magic bands from previous trips (last one in January). Do I need to do anything to "activate" this trip on a magic band or will it automatically do it for the last band we used? Or if all bands are still "active" will we be able to use any one of the previous bands? I hope I'm asking this correctly because I don't feel like I am.

All your old magic bands will work to access your tickets on your MDE account. You cannot use them to charge to your room, or as a room key at the Swan.

I did a stay at the Swan last Christmas and had APs. We used our old magic bands, no problems. But as PP said, you can't use them for charging or as a room key. They really only worked as entry tickets and FPs.

I have dozens of old magic bands, as long as they are "active" in MDE and the battery works, you should be able to reuse them.

Thank you! Do I need to call and link a certain band or will it automatically work when we get there?

I'll just have to deal with whipping out the ole card for charges at the parks and keep up with another one for the Swan. Aaaah, so early 2000's. HAHA!!!

All your magicbands that show as active in MDE should work to access your tickets. You can activate inactive card(s) in MDE itself. You don't have to call.

You cannot charge things bought in Disney stores or restaurants to your magicband unless you're staying at a Disney resort. Get used to using your credit card in the parks, as well as at the Swan. The magicband can be used only for accessing your tickets under your circumstances.

Thanks, y'all!!
