Question about magic bands and AP

Hope I am posting this in the right spot.

We are going in July. We have AP's. This will be our first trip since FP+ started. We are doing Dolphin 5 nights, then BLT 5 nights. My reservation for BLT shows up in my Magic account.

My Magic account now has 2 different sets of magic bands - one that we have already gotten for our AP's and one for our stay at BLT. I can make my BLT FP+ reservations starting tomorrow (60 days) for our BLT portion. But when I go into my Magic account it says 30 days for the Magic Bands. I keep getting mailers about the fact I can make my FP+ starting tomorrow (60 days).

Will we have 2 sets of Magic Bands or will our AP bands work for our BLT portion?

Until you reach 60 days from check-in, you are considered and off-site guest and subject to the 30 day FP+ booking window.

FYI: You should be able to link the Dolphin Room Reservation to MDE and that would have opened the 60 day FP+ window based on the Dolphin check-in date.

As far as MagicBands go, there is nothing actually stored on them. Everything (including MagicBands) is linked to MDE profiles. The MagicBand is just a key to reading the data stored on your profile. You can use all MagicBands that are linked to your MDE Profile interchangeably.
