Question about Magic Band

I have old magic bands that are attatched to My Magic Plus account and I just purchased tickets....it sent me hard tickets in the mail....will I need these or can I just use my old magic bands?

If your new hard-copy tickets are connected to the same My Disney Experience account as your old MagicBands, the cards and the bands will be interchangeable and you can use either one.

you can use your old magic bands, All you need to do is link magic band and ticket together in MDE.

You should be able to lead new tickets into mde which will connect them to your magic band.

Yes, the old bands can access any entitlement currently in your account. (Tickets, room, FP+..)
If you add the tickets to your account, you won't need the physical tickets, but it's not a bad idea to bring them in your luggage, just in case.

Tickets and magic bands are never linked together. As long as they are linked to the same MDE account, they can be used interchangeably.

But what happens if your magic band says "Inactive" Wouldn't you have to make sure that it is active in order to have it linked to the Ticket? I still have old Tickets show up from MDE from 2 years ago that said "Active". I just thought you would need to make sure the right Magic band is Active and the Correct Ticket is Active.

Yes, they both have to be active (ticket entitlement and band), but the only reason a band would be inactive is if the guest did that in his or her MDE account.

The point was that bands and tickets are not "linked together" ever. An active band accesses any information in your MDE account, including tickets.
