Howdy all,

I'm departing Orlando on a VERY early Delta flight in December (5:30am). I was hoping to hear reports of being able to check luggage the day before at 2pm at the resort desk, but it seems they are holding fast to the 12 hour rule.

So, that being the case, I will have to have my luggage transported on the ME bus and check it myself at MCO.

Has there been luggage assistance folks waiting at the ME buses upon arrival at MCO??

What about for early AM flights??

I am camping and flying and will be transporting a personal ECV (scooter), so there is no way I can maneuver this stuff myself even with an airport cart.

Last trip I used the accessible Mears van and was dropped off at curbside checkin, but I understand the ME buses drop off at a totally different part of the airport.

Thanks for the help.

I am bumping this up. I will be travelling with 4 children (two of whom are visually impared). My airline does not participate in the ME program for departing. I am a little concerned about getting from the drop off point to my airline (Air Trans).

Every time I've flown Delta/Delta Express/Song, the SkyCaps outside the Delta check-in area have been VERY helpful. I'd hope there would be some there around the clock, but I've never left that early so can't tell you for sure.

I am sure there will be skycaps waiting outside where the bus stops.
Does anyone know if this is the case? I thought the skycaps were only outside of the individual airline drop off areas. I understand ME doesn't take you to your individual airline but to a central drop off area at the airport and you walk with your luggage to your airline counter (unless your particular airlines participates in ME for returning flights-mine does not).

Actually, I'll answer my own original question. Some good friends of mine took ME on an early morning return flight and they found luggage assistance early in the morning fairly close to the Magical Express bus. There were two of them and one of them may have gone in search of this assistance while the other sat on the luggage, but they did find assistance.
