I guess this is a good place to ask this question. So due to cheaper airfare we are arriving one night before our sunday-friday day reservation at OKW. I booked a room at All Star Music for Saturday. So when we wake and get ready to leave for the park on Sunday do we just go downstairs, check out, and leave our luggage at the front desk? then check in at out leisure at OKW? I know they move your luggage for you (we are also doing this on the last day of our vacation, this time from OKW to Pop). I'm just not sure how it works and I don't want to lose our lugggae and we won't have a car. TIA!

I too am interested we have never done a split stay and are doing so this year, CSR then off to the BC. will they move our luggage??

I am doing a split stay in July, and was told to pack everything that I wanted moved and sit it together in the room when I leave in the morning. The front desk at each resort will tell you where to leave your stuff. They(the resort) will then pick up your stuff and move it for you. The only downside is that sometimes it doesn't arrive at the new location until 4 or 5pm, so I am planning to take a backpack with a change of clothes with me to the park and just leave it in a locker so we can go swimming and change at the new hotel even if our stuff isn't there yet!

We did a split stay over spring break (Sports to Movies - Sports wasn't available the last night). We brought our luggage to bell services at Sports in the morning, went to the parks (got there in time for rope drop), went back around 3:00 in the afternoon to Movies, checked in, picked up our luggage at bell services at Movies, and went to our room. No problems at all with the luggage transfer.

It was a bit of a hassle getting everything packed up just for one night at a different resort though.

When you did this who arranges the move? ie. Do you tell the front desk of the first hotel as you are checking in and then again on checkout - or is it ok to just wait until checkout? Do they contact the 2nd resort for you, or do you at some point have to contact them also?

Thanks....this is my only area of stress regarding the hotel change...HOW it all happens, exactly. :confused3

this is exactly what we we were told and did on our last trip and everything went quite smoothly. we spent the day out at the parks and when we arrived and checked in at our second hotel we were told that bell serivces would be here soon with our luggage. as has been said in other posts the luggage will not arrive until later on after 3-4pm so be prepared

We never really "checked out" of the first resort - since they had our credit card on file and we had a list of charges placed on our door the morning of check-out, we didn't need to stop at the front desk. We also didn't see the need to tell them we would be someplace else for the last night of our trip. It was a different reservation number, so it didn't come up when we checked in.

When we went to bell services the morning of check-out at the first resort, we just told them where to send our luggage, and they put tags on our bags with that information. We didn't do anything more than this for the move from one resort to the next. We then spent the day at the parks, took the bus back to the new resort, and checked in there in the afternoon. Bell services at the new resort already had our luggage in their storage area, which we picked up after checking in and took to our room (it's easier at a value resort to just take your luggage with b/c they only deliver luggage once an hour or so).

Hope this helps!

Helps a lot - thanks so much!!:thumbsup2

Can I do this if I'm going from a Disney hotel to the Swan or the Dolphin? Thanks.
