Your husband will have to order the "Patriots Platter" in order to get pot roast. He will also get mashed potatoes, corn, salad, turkey, mac& cheese, stuffing, and gravy. You could both eat from the patriots platter. You can pick and choose what you want to eat from the platter and leave him the rest. There is no longer a "pot roast meal" or a "Turkey meal". They are both available in the Patriots Platter, which is an "all you care to eat" meal. You can both eat from it, or he can eat from it and you can order from the al la carte menu. I think they are pretty good about meeting dietary needs, so you could ask about getting an order of potatoes and some veggies. If you both eat from the Patriots Platter you will both be charged for the meal.
The lack of clarity comes from saying "you could both eat from ... the platter" "You both eat from it" ..... there is no both or sharing or leave him the rest of any all you can eat meal. As written it translates to readers who don't know policy that they will be sharing one platter order.
It would have been more clear to those reading and trying to understand to say "You can both order the all you can eat, then you just eat what items you want" just like any all you can eat situation or buffet.
Many will read this post, some won't understand the process at LTT since it has changed it's style/menu lately by adding an all you can eat platter to lunch time. It doesn't change that there is no sharing but reading two folks "could both eat from the platter" is confusing. All other posters were doing was try to clarify something to readers which was not clear.
