hey, I'm asking this for my brother..my nephew is almost 5, but a little on the small side. He is exactly 44 inches, just tall enough to ride, but in everyones experience who has a little one has there been any problems?? We're just worried about waiting to get on then him not locking into it(if that makes sense)... thanks for any input or info... Thanks!!

If he’s tall enough it shouldn’t be an issue for the restraints to lock around him. The floor tilts but it’s like riding a motorcycle. My daughter rode at 6 and was fine. It’s also set up so that whoever is next to him can put their hands on him if he gets scared. The ride vehicles are pretty close together.

Thanks! I've rode a few times, but I don't have little ones, mine are all grown. It's just good to hear that he should be fine! Thanks again!

My little girls who are 5 and 6 rode it this week. They are 45 inches, 42 pounds and locked in fine. The younger didn't like the ride though - her glasses were falling off so she had to hold them and couldn't hold on to the bar which scared her. If kiddo is fine or soarin this is just a slightly more extreme version.

There is a recent thread somewhere about possible solutions to the glasses being too big for some little ones. We are going to bring a headband or kids glasses straps with us next time so we don’t have the issue of them falling off.

My son is exactly 44 inches tall, about 50 lbs, and he rode without a problem a few weeks ago. The headband or sunglasses holder that you can tighten is definitely a good idea though, as the glasses are big for a child.

We leave in three weeks and I am going to have to think about his problem. My boys are turning 7 the day we get there, and their heads are pretty big, but I don't want the glasses to be a problem.

Do you think that sweat bands (80's around the head), would be able to hold them on?

I’m an adult with a small head. I can wear children’s hats. I had no problem with the glasses. But then again I’m not 6!!!

That should work. It's not like these glasses are huge, they're just one size fits all, so smaller heads might have an issue. Anything to help hold them on your child's head will definitely help. My wife and I compared the 3 pairs we got side by side and gave my son the pair that seemed to be the tightest, although in reality the difference was probably miniscule. He didn't have to hold them on with his hand, but they were definitely loose.

If anyone is questioning whether they will fit a younger child, it probably doesn't hurt to have something just in case. When we went in October, they barely stayed on my 6 year old and she was told by a CM that she could hold on to them. Having never been on the ride before I was concerned because I thought it would be better for her to have both hands on the handle bars. It wasn't a big deal but worrying just a little about her and looking over at her a couple of times during the ride kind of took me out of being fully immersed in the experience just a bit.

Not considering the glasses you needn't worry about him riding and being safe on the ride size wise. Disney set the minimum height requirement at a more than adequate height. Even close is fine. If it wasn't safe they would have a higher height requirement. They don't want anyone hurt

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it, I told my brother what everyone has said and he is feeling allot better about it!!
