Question About Late Check-In

We'll be checking in to WL around 8.30 pm (if all goes well with our flight and DME) . We have a courtyard room reserved. Last year, we booked a woods view and were given an upgrade to courtyard, but this courtyard view overlooked the villas and, IMHO, was not worth the $$$ if I had been paying for the courtyard view. I am REALLY hoping to get a view that overlooks the pool/bay lake and these requests are noted on my reservation. Do my chances of getting these requests go down because I'm checking in at night? All of our other WDW trips we check in by 10am at the latest.

Well, when we went in late August this year we had booked a standard view. We arrived sometime around 6:30-7pm and ended up receiving a courtyard view of the pool area. (I asked about getting a room with bunk beds when we checked in).

I'm sure if you ask again while checking in and there's a room available, you'll get what you want.
