Question about Kohl's Charge Discount Codes

I have a Kohl's charge (which I got specifically for the discounts) and the limit is very low ($300). I desperately need a new vacuum and have been saving up for a Dyson Animal. I want to buy one with a 30% off discount code that is coming up but the code is only valid when you use a Kohl's charge (and obviously my limit is not high enough to put it entirely on the card). I have requested an increase online but denied for the reason that I have not had the card long enough.

My question is, has anyone else had this situation? Ideally, I would like to put a little on the Kohl's charge and pay for the rest with my Visa debit card and Kohl's cash. Is it possible to call Kohl's and have them do this? I could go to the store (where I know this would be possible) but I don't know if the 30% coupon is going to be a hard coupon as of yet (starts tomorrow) and my local store is extremely limited in the stock of Dysons that they carry.

I would love to hear input from anyone who knows about this.

As long as the majority of the charge is done on your Kohls charge you will be ok. If you end up shopping on line for it go thru ebayes and you can get some additional money back too.

Okeydokey, something tells me that BBB would not be cheaper even with the 20% coupon but I will check. Also, having some Kohl's cash already and getting Kohl's cash out of the deal makes it hard to beat their price.

3Boys, have you ever done this over the phone? I know it is impossible online to do this.

I have used the 30% coupon and only put 1.00 of my purchase on my kohls charge. I have also done that with the all the other coupons saying you have to use your charge.

I did not know this!

I'll have to try this out. DS needs all new jeans this year. He's lost about 35 lbs since last Christmas and his old jeans barely made it to springtime. He very much needed a belt before shorts weather came around. So I'll give it a try - order online, use the 30% code, put a minimal amount on the Kohl's charge, and put the bulk on my Disney VISA for an extra 1% in Disney Rewards! I'll report back.

Irritated though that I lost $10 in Kohl's cash that I got last week
I think I may have left it in a purse that I sold at a garage sale last weekend!

The easiest way for you to do this would be to go and get a kohls gift card and then pay with kohls cash and gift card first and put the rest on ur kohls card. You shoukd br able to do it online using all those too.

I know when I worked there we could not split tender except with cash, check or gift card.

I'd wait until woot has them referbished again. Hey had the animal last week for 300$ and frequently have some type of dyson half off because it is refurbished. My refurbished dyson I bought for about 260$ 4 years ago from woot is still going strong!

Thanks! That is very helpful. I did just get off of the phone with Kohl's and you are correct. The GC is the perfect way around my problem. And I will also be able to use Ebates!! And with the $80-90 in Kohls Cash I will get that will be so helpful.

My local store has stopped doing this! They said it was a change in company policy. So if you have a store that still does it, be aware they may not for much longer.

Also, keep in mind the 30% off will not come off of the Kohls Cash part of the payment.

So I successfully ordered a Dyson Animal Complete! This is the pink and gray one. Not the one I planned on buying but it went on sale today for $649 (from $729)

I ran to Kohl's after work and picked up a GC for $420.

Cost of Dyson after 30% off - $454.30
Sales Tax $38.32
Free Shipping

Total - $486.31 (their 30% was off by a few bucks but I am not going to complain) - $420 on GC, $10 Kohl's Cash, remaining $66 and change on my Kohl's charge.

And I made $80 in Kohls Cash which I will use to buy myself some Fall tops!
