So on top of the $15 per mug, you're paying a premium for drinks at the resort rather than shipping them for free from Staples or Costco? Boy, you are a savvy shopper! You must work for the government. I've got an $800 hammer I can sell you for $400. It's a steal at that price!

I am neither a staples nor Costco shopper/member, and if used properly, the drinks are "free" as are the mugs because I get more than my money's worth from the DDP with just the meals.

I will say it again... The DDP is not one size fits all but it works well for many and for those people I support it and am glad it's offered... For those it doesn't fit, I am glad it's not mandated... So it's truly Magic YOUR Way!

P.S., you never answered my query re: the length of your average WDW vacation.... Assuming you have actually been there.

Yeah, that $13 of total savings for 4 people that evaporated in front of our eyes was totally worth it.

Not a Staples member? I can help you with that. Membership normally costs $100, but I can get you in for $50. Let me know if you're interested in this incredible savings plan. I call it the SSP.

If you don't want to join the SSP, you can always send your teens on additional resort runs with the mugs. This is a good thing, because if there's one thing you don't get enough of on a Disney vacation it's walking. Did you get park hoppers? If so, you could run back to your resort to get refills between parks. Sure it's inconvenient, but consider it a savings off the park hopper price!
