Hi all! We are thinking of taking our first trip to California and Disneyland and I am sooo excited to start planning.:yay: How is the weather in early June? I am from the Chicago area so early June here can still be a little chilly and I've been to Disneyworld in late May and that was almost unbearably hot and humid. I know it will be warmer than home but what's the average temp? Is there alot of rain and humidity? Thanks for any info as I know very little about California.

The weather in SoCal is just so much better and more tolerable than Orlando especially in May thru the summer. See "Comparison of Weather For WDW and DLR" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1711098

Here is some good info for WDW vets "A DLR Guide for WDW Vets" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1162599

Be careful about chossing dates in early June. There is a major new show opening at DCA and it will draw epic crowds to DLR. That does not mean you should not go. It does mean you should pay attention to so some trends.

In June, especially early June, we frequently experience "June Gloom" Gray days, not too warm. Our hottest days don't usually kick in until August and can even continue into Oct. But nothing is ever definite.

Be prepared from possible cooler days but also be ready for warm/hot days as well. The evenings will be cool, possible damp. A big change from WDW. Typically I don't wear shorts to DLR in June, especially if I'm staying into the evening. For me, a native So. Californian, it can just get too cold and damp.

Enjoy!

I am a native SoCal person too. In June we wear shorts and tees from day break to midnight and never think twice. We also did it last mid-May too.

Maybe our blood has thickened since we left? :)

Maybe, since I get cold very easily. For example, last night at softball practice (in Corona) from 7-9 p.m. I was absolutely freezing by 9 p.m.!:scared1: It was cold (about 52), damp, and breezy. I forgot to wear my thermals and I got so cold. Even with wearing jeans, long wool coat, gloves (my hands were frozen!), and socks with my Mammoth Crocs. Next week I will remember by thermals, scarf, hot tea, and new small portable my DSis got me for Christmas.

I remember as a kid when my cousins who lived in Alaska would come down for Christmas. We would all be bundled up and they would be running around in shorts and no sleeves. Crazy!:rolleyes1

Thanks for the replies, I have alot to check out! As far as weather it can't possibly be worse than Chicago - our weather sucks most of the time!!

The weather in June is AMAZING!!! Not too hot and not too cold. We always try to shoot our yearly family trip for this time of year. Although there is this thing called June Gloom where it's cloudy in the mornin and the clouds break off by noon, it's still a nice temperature. Shorts and Tshirts all day. Bring a very light jacket for the evenings but even some days you won't need them.
