Question about June trip

I apologize for yet another question about crowds and craziness in June following the Carsland opening. We have APs and have been trying or set up a May or early June trip before the land opens, to avoid the craziness and then see Carsland in the Fall. Due to a variety of unexpected projects at work and a funeral in early June, it is looking like it is unfortunately not going to be possible for us to go before the opening.

Now I am debating whether to try to brave it in June, perhaps the week of the 25th when SC AP's are not blocked (I know they aren't blocked the 17-18 either, but that just seems too crazy being opening weekend). I realize that with Carsland opening and it being summer it will be crowded. My question is whether there is any insight as to how busy DL will be, which is primarily what we want to see, as opposed to DCA. Will there be huge spillover in crowds, or do you think the impact will mainly be Carsland and perhaps other areas of DCA? If DL might not be so bad, we could focus there during our trip and then maybe just brave the crowds one time to check out the new land.

Thanks so much for any advice. We are DL veterans but in 30+ years of going have literally never gone more than once or twice in the summer due to concern about crowds.

My guess is that we'll see record crowds at DCA, and people coming for Carsland will also hop on over to DL. As much as Carsland will be the headliner, I can't really see THAT many people going for JUST DCA without stopping in DL as well. Both parks will be very very crowded.
