Hi Ya'll
Ok, usually when my family and I visit Universal Orlando we
go in the Fall, last time it Nov 07
And staying on site, the FOTL Passes are incredible
Hardly any wait at all

Well, we are going back for a visit in July
Will we still get on the rides fairly quickly? I know July will be way
busier than November

Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance :thumbsup2

I usually can only go in the summer because being my DH is a teaher that is when we are off.

We usually can get on in no longer then 20 min or so with the FOTL passes . Some rides it is walk on at times . It all depends on the ride . Good Luck and drink LOTS Of water while you are there it gets very HOT .

I can deal with 20 minutes any day :thumbsup2
Still beats Disney and their wait times

Express + July = hit or miss. While attractions will try to keep Express lines down to 20 mins or less, it's not uncommon for them to extend over 30-45 mins for more popular rides. Even if your Express wait is long, it'll still be faster than the regular line.

And yes, drink lots of water and wear sunscreen. July = hot, humid, and usually has an afternoon t-storm.

I agree!!! We usually go in June or August, rarely have a wait. I think the longest wait we've ever had with FOTL was 15/20 minutes. Although, it can seem A LOT longer in the summer heat. On the bright side, that wait may have been "4 times at most" and that's for our last 3 stays, totaling more than 18 days!!! Have fun, and YES, DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!!

even if you area staying on site, go when the park opens.
around 11ish, the crowds will be starting up.

when it is mid afternoon, go back to the hotel to swim or relax.
return to the parks after a break.

your wait in the express lines will not be as bad for the early morning or early evening then.

the longest i waited in the express lane during summer using fotl was 30 minutes.

it depends on the ride and day of the week
weekends tend to be pretty crowded in the summer.

i now avoid the summer months as much as possible.
early june is the latest i go.

i prefer the fall time in the parks.
less crowds.
less heat

One positive thing I don't see mentioned a lot about summer touring is that you have longer hours. Significantly longer hours. What is it in July? A 10 pm closing? That gives you a ton of time to not only do what you want to do, but also take a break in the afternoon.

I'm slightly disappointed that during our visit next week, the parks close at 8. Geez, even our local grocery store is open longer than that, you know? I'm thinking that won't allow us an afternoon break since getting 2 teenagers to the park AT opening takes...pretty much....an act of God.

So keep that in mind. It is no small point that you have a lot of time to work with in the parks. HAVE FUN!!!

Yes....I hear you I just got back from my DD sweet 16 trip and the parks closed at 6 and 7 PM to get her and her friend ready for the parks in the morning was like :furious: AHHH . I have to say it is an Act of God I agree :thumbsup2

BTW going back after WDW to the RPR ...Aug 2-5  This after a visit to the HRH . I am getting around that place :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Amen to that! When we go in the fall, they are only open til like 6 pm
and you spend your whole day rushing around getting done what you
need to.
This way, we can return to the Hard Rock, let the kids nap, and swim and
then return to the park at nite. Plus, some of the rides are so awesome
to do at nite.
The one thing we really want our kids to expreience this time is the
Dive In Movies, in Nov, when we went last, there was a cold spell and it
was too cold to swim.

Thanks again for the input guys! You Rock!:hippie:

We go in July because of school hols. Usually Universal and Seaworld and maybe a 1 or 2 days at WDW park. We do not usually hit the parks early ,tend to wait till the afternoon, spending the day at the pool, unless our DD wants to see the movie that night.
Most FOTL waiting times have been between 5 to 15 mins, which is excellent, but would hate to do the parks in the summer without it.
