Question about Jetblue Refunds

Hi Everyone! I thought I read somewhere on the Dis that if the price of the airfare for Jetblue decreased after you purchased tickets with them, that they would refund you the difference? Is this true and has anyone done this in the past?

I heading to Disney in October and I just bought airfare a few weeks ago and of course prices just went down!

They will not refund you. They will credit you if you call and request it. This credit can be used to book a future flight within one year.

Note that the issuance of the credit actually involves JetBlue cancelling and rebooking your reservation pretty much instantly, but that could result in needing to rebook your seats.

We've always been lucky enough to get our old seats back when rebooking for credit. We haven't always been able to use the credit before it expired, but it is nice to know you have $ on account towards a ticket if you need it. The one thing with the credit is that it marries you to Jetblue for the next trip (if you go every year). Luckily, the prices went down late enough for us to probably use the credit for next year!

I just did this because our flights to Orlando dropped by $10 each person. I called jetblue and they issued a credit to my jetblue account. I logged back in later that day and our seats were still the same. I was also told that they credit had to be used by 1 year from the date the price changed.

I have a refund I am unable to use. It just kills me to let it go to waste. I keep asking family and friends if they are going away so I can book for them. Well I guess it was a gamble and they won.....
