Needed to change a flight due to a family medical emergency. With documentation JetBlue offered to give a medical fee waiver. what I originally paid will be put in a JetBlue account. My question is if the new flight I book is less than the previous one I think they will just keep the difference in my account does that mean I have to use that amount within one year. In other words I originally paid 2400.00. The price of the airfare with the new date is 2000.00. So the 400.00 difference would be left in my account. Do I only have one year to use that? We don't travel that frequently so I am afraid I wouldn't use it within the year. Does anyone know the answer to this.

there website says:

Travel need not be completed by the Service Credit expiration date, only a new reservation booked and the credit used as payment by then

Just what I did. Had about $150 in credit I gathered from a cancelled res to from late Feb of last year to issues with the AV equip at our seats on both flights and used it in Jan to book flights for June.
