question about intimate wedding cake

I know that most of the intimate weddings come with the same cake with the Minnie and Mickey Mouse cake topper. Does anyone know if you can pay to have a different cake?

It's Disney, if you dream it (and can $ for it), they'll do it. We stuck with what was included, so no personal experience with that, but I know they'll do it. Ask your coordinator. HTH

I see that the above poster answered your question, but I just wanted to chip in my 2 cents. I called about a month ago and asked the SM at Disney weddings because this was a concern of mine, as well. She said that they will definitely be able to change the cake, for an extra cost of course. However, she didn't know how much, obviously, because she wasn't sure of the type of cake I had in mind. But they will definitely do it. The Mickey & Minnie topper stays the same, though. That comes with the package. But I didn't want the topper on the cake and she said that wouldn't be a problem.

Yes you can upgrade your cake, You are given a credit for the original cake i think it's around $200 and you pay the extra, but the cakes start from $500 and they feed 50 people.
You dont have the option of a slightly bigger one, it's either $500 or your intimate cake.
I'm planning on doing this, I know theres going to be a lot of waste but that was one of the main things i wanted. A nice cake and flowers.

I kept the original two-tiered cake, but added the white chocolate castle cake topper for $125. We had the cake delivered to Sunset Pointe from the Grand for $75, so we ended up paying $200 for the castle cake topper to match the cake frosting. It seemed pricey but it was worth it when we saw the whole thing together. Just thought I would add my $.02!
