We will be doing an Illuminations Cruise in April. I can't remember what time the CM said to be at the dock...and is it at the dock at the YC??
I know, I could call and just ask a CM but I honestly feel I get much more reliable information here.
So what time and where.....Grrrrr, must be getting too old to remember stuff!!

It’s been a good 6 years since we’ve done an illuminations cruise. But back then you arrived at the yacht club dock at 7:30-7:45 for an 8:00 departure.

Thanks mrsap and Spork24.
Yes, the YC dock is what I believe they told me, actually I didn't even know that the boats also left from the Poly for the Illuminations cruise and 8ish does sound correct. I just might have to throw in the towel and call to ask a CM just to be sure. Thanks for your reply's.

Just for full clarity, the Poly boat is not for an Illuminations cruise, it’s for a Happily Ever After cruise. I think the PP was providing it as a point of reference for how they handle the timing for that particular fireworks cruise.

Ah, yes, my mistake. Saw cruise- didn’t see the illuminations part. I truly appreciate you taking the time to point that out.

I did one in January. Our boat left around 7 so we could go check out Fantasmic and Star Wars before illuminations.

That would mean that your cruise would have lasted about two hours, plus (125-135 minutes, or so.)

That would seem to be more of a "birthday charter" or some such,
as the traditional "IllumiNations Cruse" (actually, not officially called that, either) only lasts about 65-80 minutes.

Illuminations might have been at 8PM I don't remember. We definitely were only out there about 80 minutes. I enjoyed getting to see Fantasmic and Star Wars from a different point of view though.

I have been looking all over for information on the Illuminations cruise on the WDW website. Used search, looked in "things to do" and everywhere else and can't find it anywhere?? HELP.

It's called a "Specialty Cruise."

You can CALL (407) WDW-PLAY to book.

BTW, they are rather difficult to book, as they are very popular and there are only a very lmited number available each night.

(The "Happily Ever After" cruises at MK are far more plentiful.)

I am stalking an Illuminations cruise for next week. If anyone on Disboards is going and wants to cancel please give me a yell!

any luck?
Nope. Didn't manage to get one. Kids pooped out and went back to hotel and missed it all together. DH and I had a nice spot on a bench near Morocco with a great view and a beverage. Not as cool as a cruise but a lovely farewell to Illuminations.
