I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this since it isn't disney.

Has anyone ever done the "ICE" program at Gaylord hotel?
wanted to know how much time it takes to tour the attraction and how far away it is?
Thanks!

Thanks for the link...it has a great review!

Unless I missed it, it didn't say how long it takes to go through the exhibit.
I was just wondering if anyone had done this and could tell me how much time I need to plan for.

thanks!

We're hoping to do this in December of 2010. I think it looks like something that would be fun to do for a day away from Disney for the whole family.

It depends. If you stop to linger, and take pictures it could take an hour. I think it took me about 20-30 mins.

Great! I think we might do this on a day we finish early at the park.
If we do, I will give a review when we return.

DH, DS and I went last year - Hated it. The entire attraction took less than 20 minutes. Honestly, we were just too cold. Even with the parkas they give you it is not comfortable. We didn't want to linger. Found it a horrible waste of money.:confused3

We thought it was amazing. It is very cold in there. Wear jeans, socks, warm shoes, and gloves. The parka's are very warm. You can save some money by buying the tickets on line before you go. It is not far from Disney, but keep in mind that it is at the Gaylord Palms and there is a parking charge. The resort is georgous all decorated for Christmas. Take some time to walk around the atrium. I would try to go first thing in the morning as the lines get very long later in the day. There is no set time limit, you can stay as long as you want, so it is hard to say how long it will take to go through. People from the north tend to stay longer.:rotfl2: Southern people not so long.:rotfl2:

I've never seen it, but I'd like to one of these years.

The hotel is very close to Disney if you're driving. I don't know about public transportation.

Go see it and report back on how you liked it!!! :)

Keep in mind that the line to get into ICE could be very long. Unless you are a guest of the hotel, you must wait on the general public line. It can be long. That said, it is incredible to see. You walk through different holiday scenes that are floor on up made, made of ice. There are ice slides for the kids. After you go through the cold part, you can stop at the cafe for a warm hot chocolate, and have a look around the rest of the hotel, which is itself something amazing to see.

So, to answer your question, I would set aside a couple of hours (line to get in, actual attraction, walking around hotel/hot chocolate) for the side trip. The hotel is located just outside of Disney World. If you are driving, it is two minutes outside of Disney World.

I'm going to move this thread over to our Orlando attractions board.
