Question about ice at Disney

We are planning our first trip to Disney this June. We were thinking about taking one of those coolers that keep ice for 5 days, but there isn't much room in those and they cost quite a bit more! I am wondering, is there ice machines at Disney hotels like you ususally find at other hotels? We will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside. I would rather get a much bigger cooler and replace the ice every day if possible. Also, to save space instead of bringing our drinks, we were going to purchase the refillable mugs. We plan to eat breakfast and lunch in our room, so would the mugs work for that?

There are ice machines at the moderates I know. We do this every trip and keep some things on ice in our room. It helps keep our costs down for the trip.

We stayed at POR several years ago and were able to get ice just down the hall.

The mugs are a great idea. We got the mugs for my DW and I. My DD 3 1/2 and DS 1 1/2 at the time drank mostly milk and juice from the room since these are not available with the mugs. I figure that if I only got a cup of coffee in the am they paid for themselves. So my sodas in the afternoon and at night made it well worth it.

The only drawback is you have to walk to the food court to get the drinks. But it was a nice walk.
