Question about hotels near DLP

My wife and I are in the very early stages of planning a trip to DLP, and in looking at all the Disney Hotels and the Partner Hotels, we can only seem to find rooms with double beds. As a pooh sized couple, we need at least a queen, as we prefer not to sleep in separate beds while on vacation. Anyone know of a decent place to stay with queen or king beds near DLP, hopefully with a shuttle to the parks?

If it helps any, we are open to the idea of twin beds pushed together, like on a DCL ship!

We had a huge bed when we stayed in Newport Bay. Maybe you can request 1 large bed?

I think a lot of rooms are either 2 double or 1 king-sized but its worth checking when you book.

We had a king size at Newport Bay. Our room at the Disneyland Hotel had two doubles but they were definitely larger than our double at home so perhaps they were really the size of a queen?

I don't think there will be any problem if you request a room with one large bed on your booking and then follow it up with an email request a few days before your stay.

when we booked two standard rooms at the Sequoia lodge we were allocated two with one King size bed in each - I think because we were 2 people in one room and 1 in the other.

I also had a King Room in the Magic Circus when we booked the executive level

I've just come back from the Marriott d'ile-de-france and my bed was 6 foot wide - it's a 5 minute drive to Disney and they have a shuttle bus if staying at a disney hotel isn't that important to you.

Back in 2002 and 2003 when we booked Sequoia Lodge I requested a room with one large bed because in the brochure at the time it stated that rooms were available with 2 double beds or 1 large bed. I'd say it was nearly 6 feet wide. Don't know if they still do those rooms but you should ask when you book.
