We will be staying at HOJO and I think my kids would enjoy the Goofy's Kitchen Brunch. We are early risers and would like to eat at 7:30-8:00. Since this restaurant in in the DL hotel, can we get in to eat breakfast since we aren't staying in the park? I know the parks don't open that early. Thanks!

Yes, you totally can. The hotel is in Downtown Disney which is open 24/7 to anyone. In fact, we're doing the same thing! :)

Goofy's opens at 7:00 a.m. Guests have a 90-minute time limit to eat and meet the characters (though I assume they only enforce it when it is a packed house and they need to clear tables!). Usually, at opening time, Chef Goofy and one other character are hanging around the entrance, watching the people come in. (When we were there in December at opening, it was Goofy and Baloo.) Then, as the morning progresses, more characters trickle in. Chip and Dale will show up, as will Pluto. Those are the regulars. Then, the guest stars are anyone's guess - it could be Aurora and the Prince, Jasmine and Aladdin, Alice and the Mad Hatter, Belle, Minnie, or any combination of these characters (like Jasmine and Aurora together, etc.) You don't want to get there TOO early and then have to leave in 90 minutes right as more characters are showing up. I think 7:30 - 8:00 would be a good time, because everyone should be there by then and if any others are going to show up, they would do it by 9:00 - 9:30. It's a great place - I love it. It's my favorite place to eat in all of DLR. I love the food quality and variety and I love the characters (see pictures from Goofy's ranging from 1992 - 2008 in my Trip Report - link is in my signature below). I cannot imagine a weekend trip to DLR now without a visit to Goofy's. Have a wonderful time there, and make sure to report back to us about whether or not you like it too!
