We will be back to the World again in October, and with each trip, I'm always looking for something we've never done before. DH mentioned the other day that he has never been on a horse. I started to think they must have horseback riding at the Wildreness Camp Ground. Anyone have any information on this? We will be staying off property this trip and I'd like to know if you need to be an on property guest to do this and an approximate cost. Thanks

We did this last summer and it was a 'hoot'! My dh hasn't been on a horse in about 30 yrs and dd, 10, only pony rides. Try to get there early....we were late due to that blasted convoluted transportation issue. Barely made it in time. And then it poured about 3/4 of the way thru our ride. I mean buckets!!!!! But, it was fun and quite sedate. Don't go looking for a romp thru the forests. The trail guides were terrific and the horses very well mannered.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like this might be fun.
