Question about home rental areas

am looking to rent a home... things are finally looking like they might firm up ... 8/22-29 for six adults, five kids...

we're looking at 5 & 6 bedroom homes with three master bedrooms and the rest - kids rooms...

anyway - i need to know which are the closest areas to disney... (i think i've read formosa gardens & windsor palms) - anything else????

also - i think some of these communities offer "clubhouse" privileges or other amenities to the home renter... do you know which communities do this??? would it be all homes in the community that offer that privilege because i think i've seen it written about in one area but then not mentioned again in listings for other homes in that community...

I think the closest ones are Oak Island, Formosa Gardens, and Emerald...something. I stayed in a house in Oak Island. No community clubhouse privileges. I think Emerald... might have it though, some of the more "gated" communities look like they might offer clubhouse privileges. However, we had a private pool in any case.

Windsor Palms is gated and offers free use of the clubhouse facilities to all guests. There is a fitness center, movie theatre, sundry shop, pool, playground etc.

In the same location as Oak Island, Emerald Isle Formosa Garden area. 2 miles from WDW property.

The owner we rented from has a beautiful 6 bdr. with 3 masters. I will pm you the info if you are interested.

We stayed in a 6-bedroom Formosa Garden home over Christmas this past year. Very good location, we even had a route where we could enter WDW back by the AK and only had to cross 192, never had to drive on it.

It had it's own pool and spa, pool table and video game system. Pool area had ample comfortable seating, so no community building was needed.

Another vote here for Windsor Palms. We rented there in November and it was wonderful. The complex is sparkling clean, very well maintained. The clubhouse has a community pool (though your house will have a private one), a game room, exercise room, video rental, small store.

Great place to stay. Close to Disney. Close to shopping and dining.
