question about hollywood studios

I'm guessing you're looking for table service, yes?

Depending on the age of the child ... the best combination of food and the "fun" factor is probably 50's Prime Time. If he/she is a fan of old sitcoms (think Nick at Night), this would be my call.

Sci-Fi is one of the most atmospheric restaurants at Disney. I think you can have a better than decent meal there if you stick to simple stuff.

50's Prime Time isgood food & fun. A must do every trip. My boys loved it when they were young. But since you have a child you might want to consider H & V since it has characters there.

For dinner, I'd deffinatly go with either Sci-Fi or 50's. Same for lunch. I haven't been to all of the resturants there, but those have been the most consistent in our opinion. We'll never eat at H&V again...at least not for a very long time.

My kids like Mama Melrose best. They like pastas and the bread. There is also muppets and Star Wars nearby. My youngest loves the Giant Kermits and the muppet fountain nearby. You can also get the Fantasmic Dinner Package with this ressie if ordered early enough

Just to note, H&V dinner is not a character meal.

I have only been to Sci Fi, H&V (YUCK STAY AWAY LOL), and Brown Derby.

I think for kids Sci Fi is great and also 50s PTC! I can't wait to try 50s, it looks like a very fun atmosphere.

Our girls absolutely loved having lunch @ 50's PTC this past January! We loved it too! The food is good, the service is fun and you can't beat getting to watch TV while you eat! :thumbsup2

Hollywood & Vine is a character meal for breakfast and lunch only, it has the characters from Little Einsteins and JoJo's Circus. Just to clarify.

My kids love the Sci-Fi, the food is not the best in WDW but the atmosphere is great. I can not stand Prime Time, I don't need someone nagging me during my meal. I loved the food at H&V and Mama Melrose. Both H&V and Mama have the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg so keep that in mind.

Good luck. I don't think you can really go wrong in any of your choices in DS.

We have done 50's PT for dinner and thought it was fun. The food was good, not great, but good. If you ever do a cs at Hollywood Studios I would advise to stay away from the ABC Commissary. That place was not only the worst eating experience I've ever had in WDW, but perhaps near the top of the list as one of the worst ever in my 45 years of breathing oxygen. :goodvibes

Mine are all under 10...youngest is 3 and they LOVE LOVE LOVE Sci FI!!! (We go there for lunch every time we visit!)
