Hi,

I just found out that my son may be able to go to tennis camp in Hilton Head, which is only three miles away from HH resort.

I went on Travelocity and was going to book a studio, and then I saw the price. almost $400 a night. Then I thought about using my points. I called to see if I could, and they told me no availability.

Is it that they only allow so many rooms to go towards DVC, and the others must be booked as cash? Is it like the BCV, VWL, or BW?

Anyway I got on the waiting list.

Just curious. I am trying to understand how this works.

Which tennis camp? Sea Pines or Palmetto Dunes? My ds did Smith-Stearns all last summer and had a wonderful experience. I've also heard good things about PD as well. How old is your ds? Mine just aged up into the 14's and plays in tournaments almost every weekend. Last year we did the Sea Pines southern-regional tournament in October and had a great time (ended up in consolation but were happy just to make the cut).

Anyway, you are correct in assuming that the DVC points and cash rooms are separate inventory. Which week are you trying to go? If it's a very popular time you might want to look into renting a villa on-island instead---the prices would be more reasonable. LMK if you want some more information on places to try. Otherwise, I hope your w/l comes through---we stayed at the HH-DVC for the first time earlier this month and loved it.

Hello to you tennis mother!!!!!!!

Yes, I must say in this past year my life has become traveling with my son. He is ten. He will be going into the 12s offically in August.
We are looking into Van Der Meer tennis camp. He wants to get ready for the southern closed, if he makes it. They only take the top 3 finishers in Kentucky. He rank currently is within the top 25 so if he doesn't make it, he may make it is as an alternate.

My son wants to try the Sea Pines regional in October. There is a bullfrog coming up in May as well isn't there?

PM me with the other info with regards on places to stay. It will be from June 10-15.

Thanks,
Connie
