Is the show on every night? I know there are different show times, but when are the show days? Guess I haven't looked in the right places because I'm having a hard time finding it! Thanks!

Shows are 7 days a week at 4:00, 6:15, and 8:30...... And it's worth every cent, IMHO it's Disney's best kept secret for the whole family to enjoy....

Thanks y'all! It is likely the only ADR I will make! But have never been!

clmhood,

We went to the HDDR this past March (our 3rd time) and loved it.

Here is a DIS link which shows the general table locations for each Category 1, 2, & 3 relative to the stage (note some are upstairs in the balcony) which affects pricing. It has no pricing but when you are online making your reservations and see the pricing, you'll have an idea where they will seat you.

This last time we chose Cat 3 pricing but since we chose the early show, it was not full so they upgraded us to Cat 2 seating in the balcony directly across from the stage. The cast came up there from time to time and I liked the downward view. Food was excellent.

Enjoy it!

Agree with Ed, food and interaction are great. We have done category 1 before and have category 2 reserved for our upcoming trip. During our first trip I walked around upstairs on the balcony and it really didn't seem to be a bad view. I consider this show to be one of Disney's gem shows.

Our Ratings of Hoop-Dee-Do-Review: (*rev 3/11/2014*)
. . . food price value: B (if using DDP Credits = D)
. . . food quality: C
. . . food quantity per serving: A
. . . food prep speed: B
. . . food selection: C
. . . seating quantity: B
. . . seating comfort: C
. . . eatery atmosphere: B
. . . eatery convenience: C
. . . staff friendliness: B
. . . staff attentiveness: B
. . . character interaction: B (actors)

NOTE1: HDDR is a fun, corny, lively Western show. The food is average, but quite tasty
for comfort food and is all-you-can-eat for both the food and the beverages, even the
sangria. Good show for adults and children alike. As side info, HDDR is typically cool from
air conditioning, so take a jacket or sweater for everyone. Cat-2 and Cat-3 tables may
have posts in the viewing way. For a truly unique evening, do an early show, then attend
the Campfire for the Chip and Dale meet-greet appearance, the marshmallow roasting,
the Singalong, and the outdoor movie. Buy marshmallows, Smores, and other snacks at
the campfire.

NOTE2: A quickie about transportation. You can take a direct bus from most resorts after
approx 4:00pm. Due to HDDR and Campfire, they run direct busses. You can also take the
boat from either Contemporary Resort or Magic Kingdom. Ride makes a really nice start
to the evening. On the way back to the resort, take the boat to MK and then the bus, as
direct buses to the resort are not available. If really in a hurry, take the internal bus to
the Outpost and a taxi to your resort.

HOOP-DEE-DO-REVIEW SEATING "411":

1) HDDR tables are prioritized in category by WHEN the ressie was made (by phone or on-line).
. . . example: a Cat-1 ressie made in January gets a better table than ressie made in February
. . . example: a Cat-1 ressie made within 7-days of the show gets Cat-1 leftovers
2) They are manually assigned on 7th day before the show date.
3) Last minute ressies are assigned to the next open table in order.
4) There are no requests allowed for tables.
5) The earlier ressies are made, the better table location.
6) Exception: #044 & #045, kept last minute handicapped guests.
7) Table numbers have meaning,
. . . EXAMPLE: table #052
. . . 0 = floor-level
. . . 5 = fifth-row-from-front
. . . 2 = second-table-from-left
8) Tables may be moved around to accommodate number of guests.
9) Only one family/group is seated per table (usually). *
10) Distribution of tables and categories.
. . . Cat-1 tables are main floor to-row8, they are the best seats
. . . Cat-2 tables are the seven tables in row9 on main floor
. . . Cat-2 tables are the last four on left/right wings
. . . Cat-2 tables are the eight rear balcony tables facing stage
. . . Cat-3 tables are the eight tables on both balcony sides
. . . Cat-2 and Cat-3 tables may have posts in the viewing way
. . . Cat-3 tables require you to turn around to see
11) Tickets are picked up
. . . up to 7-days early at Concierge or any Park/DTD Guest Services (GS)
. . . up to 2-hours before performance at concierge or GS
. . . at show time or with 2-hrs before showtime only Box Office
. . . HDDR left window is a Concierge Desk, right is Box Office
12) For DDP two-coupon seats
. . . Category-2 or Category-3 at first two shows
. . . Category-1 at last show (if seats are available)

NOTE1: There are four large tables for big families. If there
are no big families (which seldom happens), they will mix small
families of 2-4 to fill the tables. This allows HDDR to maximize
the seating, and revenue.

NOTE2: I often assign seats for HDDR, and wince when I put folks
behind pillars or have the pillars in their line-of-sight.
