I would definitely NOT do that, because you will NOT be allowed to have 5 in a 4 person room in Hawaii. I believe it is something to do with a state law, but not sure. I do know that they strictly adhere to occupancy there.

we have reservations for the Mauna lani in August of this year. It was actually less points to reserve the two rooms than rent two seperate rooms. We are staying a wk and for a garden view with two adjacent rooms, it is running us about 610 pts. Having connecting rooms will be nice. We can open up the doors between them and have two balconies etc. can't wait to go.

I can't speak for that hotel, call them and ask a manager. Record the name of the person for your trip in case there's an issue. I can tell you that MANY if not MOST timeshares will make a big deal of this but it will vary from one to another so you need to check where applicable. I had a friend that went to HH and had to sign a paper on check in that if they were over the limit they'd be fined $200 and if they were still over 2 hours later, they'd have to leave.

As DVC Occupancy discussions are not allowed, except for one thread, I really have to close a non-DVC occupancy thread.
